Welcome to the Brisbane Municipal Concert Band and Brisbane City Stage Band
The Brisbane Municipal Concert Band is an amateur, community ensemble that has been making music in Brisbane for over one hundred years. We welcome anyone who enjoys making good music with good friends and this is reflected in our 40 members who range from 17 to 75 years of age and come from all walks of life. We give everyday people the opportunity for life-long music learning.
The Brisbane City Big Band is a 20 piece community jazz ensemble which made its debut performance at a free concert at Mt Coot-tha Gardens stage in February 2008. The band is an exciting new venture undertaken by the Brisbane Municipal Band
Both bands regularly perform in parks around the city as a part of the Brisbane City Council's Parks Programme, overseen by the Brisbane Metropolitan Bands Inc, and every second year we put on a spectacular Gala Concert event. A band with a facinating past, we are also looking forward to some really exciting future events.
Brisbane Municipal Concert Band practices Thursday 8-10pm at Paddington Playground Hall, 10 Moreton St Paddington.

The Big band rehearsals start on Thursday the 21st of Jan with their first concert on Sunday the 14th of Feb 2pm at the City Botanical Gardens
The Concert band resumes on Thursday the 18th of February.

Notice of Annual General Meeting - 26th March 2009

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Brisbane Municipal Concert Band will be held at our rehearsal hall on the 26th of March 2009 at 8pm.
If you will be unable to attend please send your apologies to the band secretary, Stewart. There will be no rehearsal on this evening, you will not need to bring your instruments.
